OUR ORIGIN STORY-GODAVARI

From the heart of West Godavari’s fertile landscapes emerges our cocoa…, a land enriched by the mighty River Godavari. This fertile soil nurtures abundant cocoa with a distinct and expressive flavour profile. Grown amidst lush tropical vegetation – including coconut, Banana and Areca nut – Despite being India’s largest cacao-growing region, West Godavari remains largely unrecognized for its fine-flavour cacao.

Naturally Ripened Cocoa

The essence of fine flavour begins at harvest. Rather than harvesting in a single sweep, we work hand-in-hand with our community of over 100 farmers to select only tree-ripened pods. Ripeness is judged by the cocoa’s subtle change in colour and the distinct resonance it makes when tapped. Within 24 hours of picking, these perfectly matured pods arrive at our fermentery to begin their journey of flavour transformation.

Fermentation

We’ve pioneered a scientific approach to cocoa fermentation, enabling us to fully express the unique flavour potential of Indian cocoa. Each batch undergoes a carefully designed five-step fermentation process in a wooden boxes, expertly overseen by our skilled fermenters.we are also provide the custom fermentation as per requirement

Slow Drying

Our beans are slow-dried with precision – a balance of sun and solar drying allowing moisture to escape gradually while safeguarding the cacao’s natural flavour. This method shields the beans from excessive heat under the Indian sun, ensuring a clean, consistent finish.
